Dr. Martin and Sarah Kornblum
Community Chesed Award
Marty and Sarah Kornblum have been active members of the Farber Hebrew Day School-Yeshivat Akiva community for more than eighteen years. They moved back to Michigan motivated in part by the presence of a vital and strongly Zionist Yeshivat Akiva and rekindled a relationship which had begun with Sarah who attended the school through 9th grade.
Marty and Sarah exemplify generosity, warmth, hard work, and a passionate dedication to the Detroit Jewish community, State of Israel and its people. From the outset, Sarah became the consummate PTO volunteer with Marty and their growing family always there to assist in her efforts. Dr. Kornblum is a partner at Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedics and a practicing orthopedic surgeon and spine specialist. The Kornblums are the proud parents of Jacob ’15, Josh ‘17, Joe ’21 and Jonny ’22.
Mikey and Ariella Skoczylas
