Assistant Principal, High School

Kathy Sklar

Kathy Sklar

High School Assistant Principal, has been an influential figure to our High School students on both an academic and interpersonal level for 25 years. Mrs. Sklar went to the University of Michigan through post masters, is certified in several areas from Grade 5-12, and is predominantly a social science teacher with credentials in French and English. Mrs. Sklar is a mentor for new faculty and works closely with all upper school faculty. Aside from teaching High School AP social studies classes and co-developing curriculum efforts for our high school, Mrs. Sklar is passionate about her interpersonal relationship with her students and focuses on granting her students appropriate tools to develop into productive, confident citizens and modern orthodox Jews. This passion is demonstrated in her leadership and advisory position for High School extracurricular activities including the National Honor Society, EIMATAI, Schusterman, AIPAC on Campus, Stand With Us on Campus, and YUNMUN. Additionally, Mrs. Sklar is the liaison for Yeshiva University and Stern College and works alongside our college guidance counselor to acquaint our students with college preparatory activities. As the AP coordinator, Mrs. Sklar leads all AP course efforts including development and implementation. Her ultimate goal is to prepare students for life after Farber – academically, professionally, and socially.
